I have three northern DBTs. One I have had for awhile, and the two little ones are a little more than a year old, and growing too fast for me to keep up with, since the big girl won’t have them in her tank. They are outgrowing their old tank, and need a new home, which I don’t think I’ll be able to afford. I definitely will need to talk with you before I consider letting them go. I heart these little guys. BABY: One of the little ones is a little more than a year, but a big and healthy girl. She’s about 4″, active, and a great eater (I have them on mazuri). She is beautiful, with great big eyes and handsome contrast in her markings. She had a bite on one of her back feet, but it healed well (and quickly!) and you can only see it when you’re looking for it. She is also socialized and likes my other dbts, even though the big girl doesn’t like her. RUNTIE: The other one is a runt. She is much smaller, but is a cute, energetic little girl. I’m still getting her used to the mazuri (she likes fresh food best, like krill, crab, and fish), so I would want her to be eating well before I send her off – maybe another few weeks. Her feet got bitten pretty bad when she was in a tank with my big girl, and she took awhile to heal from that. She still has scars on her back feet, but they are completely healed over and no longer in danger of getting infected. She gets along well with any other animals (including my dog and cat!), but is a little shy and doesn’t like surprises. I don’t think she’ll ever get much bigger than 6 or 7 inches, so if you want a smaller, slow-growing northern DBT, she might work out well. SKEETER: If noone wants to give these guys a good home, I may consider adopting out my big girl, who is AWESOME, but needs to be the only (or smallest) dbt in the tank/pond. She’s about 6-7 inches now, a ravenous eater, and has a big personality and gorgeous markings. A real looker. If any of them sound like a good match for you, let me know and I will send you some pictures. I am not selling them, and if shipping is real expensive, we can work it out. I just want to find them good homes. Please email me at annie.barclay@… to talk more about it. -Annie
