Hi, I’ve had pretty good success breeding my dbts without hibernating them. This year though I have been letting them sleep in their outdoor tubs (no heater this year) in hopes of raising the fertility rate of the eggs laid. Last year from 2 females I had 26 eggs of which only 6 were fertile. Although I have to admit that one of them is only about 5 years old. I haven’t heard of any one hibernating dbts in a fridge although I do know someone that does this successfully with his tortoises. Vickie
