I am a long time turtle hobbyist looking to purchase a young Diamondback Terrapin and wanted to know if anyone could recommend a good breeder. I live in Texas so the closer the better to reduce shipping time. I have already sent an email over to the breeders on Diamondback terrapin world but I don’t know if there are others on the group here that are not listed there. I appreciate all the responses in advance, Joshua Gotlieb

Hello Joshua, I am a breeder and I probably can help you out. Although I do not have anything for sale, I have a friend with two sub adult concentrics he would like to part with. It seems he is going on a long business trip and needs to let them go. If you would like to email me direct, I can put you in touch with him. Regards, Rich My email is: rcftx@…

Hi there. You might want to check the laws in Texas because if I am correct you need a permit to own any of the DBTs sub species. I tried selling some at a show but found out that you are no allowed to own them. Just a heads up. Thanks PeteConnected by DROID on Verizon Wireless—–Original message—–

Hi Joshua,Sorry I didn’t receive your email. I am still working with DBTs. Pete is correct Texas has some new laws about owning them. I don’t believe you can get them now. There are grandfather exclusion for people that had them before the bam. You should check with your local fish and wildlife department.
