In Response to Tom and Turtle Brittle, I too noticed that the turtles seem to go after the red Flukker pellets first. All of my turtles like Turtle Brittle but there were a few that took a while to get used to it. I also feed my turtles a mix of comercial brands which I supplement with occaisional worms, crickets, a few feeder fish and sprinkles of multi vitamins. I also like to add a few pieces of cuttle bone once a week. My “aquatic turtle mix” consists of Tetra Reptomin Floating food sticks, Turtle Brittle, Flukker Turtle Pellets, ZooMed Aquatic turtle pellets and Wardley Reptile 10 food sticks. With my Diamondbacks the mix contains the Reptomin, Turtle Brittle, Flukker, Kreel and a great product I found called Vitakraft Reptile Mix which contains quite a mix of foods including Gammarus shrimp, small shrimp, water fleas, mosquito larvae, fish meal and things such as wheats, grains, oats and vegatables. crude protein 38 % , crude fat 4.5% , fiber 4.5%, moisture 12.3% Vitamin A 3.69 I.U., Vitamin D3 405 I.U., Vitamin E 32.4 I.U. Their diet is supplemeted with multi vitamins, cuttle bone, fresh shrimp and fresh fish. All my turtles also enjoy Marine fish flakes. I think the marine flakes are better nutritionaly then the tropical flakes. Jimmy
