    If anyone knows of a turtle needing a good home (175 gallon tank) please let me know. I am helping someone find a homeless turtle instead of buying from a petshop. Shipping (if needed) wouldn’t take place til after Christmas when things settle down.

    Where is your friend? I have a wonderful large melanistic male red eared slider who is about 11″ long, straight carapace length. He is beautiful and in good health except for a scrape under his right leg that is healing nicely. We’ve had him for a week as a rescue and will be happy to keep him until he is healed, but he is too large for our facilities.
