Scott- Where’s a decent place to find crushed coral? I wonder if it works well with our filtration system (some submersible thing called “dive clean”). I’m afraid of it being a bacteria hellhole but our turtle really could use the calcium. She ignores our calcium blocks and will only eat feeder goldfish (which do survive in our brackish water– perhaps I’m not making it salty enough). Do those dried cuttlefish work? On another note–when our dbt was outside over the summer, some critter managed to get into her pen and took off part of her front foot. It’s like not having a hand for her–anyway, I’m bummed because it has not regenerated. Perhaps its wishful thinking on my part since if something took off my hand, I wouldn’t expect it to come back either. Rowena
