Chun, Thanks for setting me straight…..since you edit the Terrapin Keeper you certainly know who’s turtle is who’s. Ooopps…..sorry Julie & Rowena. Rowena, how is Li-Wah since I have been thinking about her? Thanks for the Terrapin Keeper update Chun…..I love to see my beauties in there. About the FAQ…..the consensus seems to be that at 6.5 inches a female can start laying eggs. Well, I may be the first in this group to test this theory. My exactly two year old northern females are now 6 & 3/8 inches, 6 inches, and 5 & 3/4 inches. So, what you are all saying is that next Summer when they are just under 3 years and they are all at 6 & 1/2 inches I will be seeing eggs?????? If that happens then the conclusion will be that size is the dominant factor and not years. Because if years is the dominant factor then it is 5-6 years before eggs or two years from next Summer. This is a whopper of a difference. PS…I don’t think my females eat too much…..currently those females only each eat about 15 Aquamax Grower 500 pellets a day.
