Shannon, You are not entirely incorrect. However, even putting specimens of the same species together could potentially have negative effects, which is why quarantining should always be practised. Obviously, diamondbacks and RES do not coexist together in the wild (except in Scott’s particular lagoon) but RES are really a domesticated species now.
