For the calcium part of the diet I buy cuttle bones in bulk form from the pet store. I just cut up pieces of the cuttle bone and put it in the tank as a treat weekly. Warning: The backing of the cuttle bone is very hard, so make sure the dbt’s don’t get any of that because it can get lodged in their throat. Further, since the dbt needs vitamin D to absorb the calcium the dbts additionally need a spectrum lamp such as a Vitalite or the equivalent or make sure they get outside for some sunlight.
