Bob, I don’t understand the law either, S.C. has a similar for terrapins. They limit the amount of terrapins that you can own but if you want to cook them have fun. Who knows what these law makers are thinking when they wright these things. I think you are almost completely right about Florida’s law. You can only have two terrapins and they can’t be allowed to breed. But I think you do have to have a permit even if you only have two. There are some grandfather loop holes, if you owned terrapins and reported them to fish and wildlife before the law went into effect you can keep them, but still no breeding.
