Scott and Rick; I agree and I’m looking at the per pound cost too (the farmer upbringing in me insists :-)). I haven’t done a close direct comparison with the turtle foods; but since the Mazuri Turtle Diet info is on their web site, I plan to compare it to an Aquamax label. The Aquamax is by far the cheapest so far at around $.50 per pound. But if the “bag” of Mazuri Turtle Diet turns out to be 40 or 50 lbs for $20 to $25, then maybe it will be competitive. How much did you pay for Mazuri Turtle, Chun? Just for comparison purposes, Flukkers runs around $3.00 per pound, although I once saw it offered in a 50 lb. sack for around $35.00. I think that was on the now defunct pets.com site and I haven’t seen Flukkers in bulk anywhere else. I think LLLReptile sells ZooMed Turtle in bulk sacks of 25 lbs., but I haven’t checked the price lately and assumed shipping would make it prohibitive. The Turtle Brittle is running a little over $2.00 per pound, too. All of the above is great when compared to Tetra or Wardley’s sticks at $10.00 to $12.00 per pound! I haven’t heard back from the local feed store on the details of the Mazuri Fresh Turtle diet yet. Todd Scott wrote:
