You may also try thin small strips of lean beef or shrimp, or kill a feeder guppy and wiggle it in front of him with forceps. Make sure you have warmed him as chun mentioned (80-85F), and make sure he is not disturbed or frightened before you feed it. Give him access to some cover, and have 2-8inches of water.
