It may be a little greasier but that is just because there is not as much flour to absorb it. The extra flour (wheat germ) is just passed through the GI tract into the water. yummy!<< Aquamax is great. I feed it to my turtles with the occasional cricket, and the Zoo Med turtle diet. The Aquamax floats nicely, though the Zoo med has a tendency to sink when hit by a jet of water from one of the many filters in my tank. I'm not sure which food I should offer more frequently. The Aquamax, or the Zoo med. I feed my turtles daily. And for the time being I usually offer Aquamax four or five times a week, and Zoo Med two or three times.
