Carole, During the hot summer months in L.A. I don’t bring my hatchlings outside, because it gets to hot. I cooked two one-month old hatchlings in six minutes one day. Don’t get me started on how dumb I felt and mad I was at myself after that. Anyway I do use only the GE lights for three months without any problems. I also have a sulcata tortoise that is about 14 months old and her shell is awesome looking, I don’t even take her outside. She has been using the same GE bulb since I got her! Chun can verify that she is a screamer. That has been my experience with the GE bulb, please continue to use whatever works for you. I don’t have anything against Reptosun and I am sure their product is just as good if not slightly better than the GE bulbs. I just believe they work equally as well.
