I had a terrapin with a mouth infection before. I rescued her from a hole in the wall pet store. She had several problems one of which was that her jaw was discolored and cracked. I soaked her in Achrilavin everyday for about two weeks. All of her other skin and shell problems healed and a large piece of her mouth fell off, about one third of her upper jaw right up to her skin. I continued to soak her in Achrilavin and for a couple more weeks. The jaw healed right away but a large piece of the jaw was missing for several months. That was about two years ago and now I can’t even tell she had any mouth problems. Her shell is still discolored. Also make sure that you are stuffing the turtle with protein and given it lots of sunlight. I hope this helps Jonathan P.S. You might want to add some salt to his water.
