I have breeding groups of various african cichlids with my turtles. Frontosas, brichardi, labidichromis, julidochromis, and I have also bred and raised oscars with them. Crustaceans and mollusks do not fair well with them usually. I have raised various “shiners” (notropis, pimephales, ect.)in a dbt tank. The turtles show no interest in the fish unless the fish are very ill or injured. I the natural habitat I have only seen them with tiger minnows and mud fish as they are called locally. There are many other species of juvenile fishes but to small to id. This is mostly due dbts not inhabiting more than about 12 inches of water in FL. I have not seen hatchlings or yearlings in water, only wet sand. I have seen 3-4′ bonnet head sharks within ten yards of dbts. Scott
