I really didn’t want to reply to the raccoon problem because it just gets me frustrated, but I completely understand the problem. I have lost Turtles, Ducks, Chickens, Geese and Rabbits to raccoons. They seem to enjoy killing anything and get into everything unless it is protected with armed guards unfortunately the only 100% way to get ride of them is to destroy them. Deterrents such as ammonia and garlic work to a point but not always. I keep my DBT’s out side year round and have found the only way other then to shoot the raccoons in the put electrical wire around my pens. I have tried to capture and releasee them into the Everglades and on 2 occasions after marking the animals with green paint they returned a week or so later. I have found that the electric wire works the best if you are in an area that allows it. That’s just my 2cents. If you want other deterrent ideas just ask, I know them all. Dave P
