Gary, Are you sure that is M.t. littoralis? I have never seen any with what I call the “webbing” pattern like that on their foreheads. I call it that since it reminds me of a spider’s web. These are usually only found on the “ornate” morphs of M.t. terrapin and M.t. centrata. M.t. littoralis normally sports a diamond on the top of their heads or nothing at all… Also, I noticed that it possesses bold streaks and dashes on its neck which is again a trait of the northern and carolinan populations and not the texan.
