I don’t currently keep any other turtles but in my pet store days, we used to add about half that much to our tanks, turtle tanks included since they were in the same system as some of our fw fish. I do believe that this dosage may be harmful to some aquatic plants though it seems to not bother bog plants or hyacinths. -Chun
