Candace, What do the white spots look like? Are they smooth or raised? Do they have any kind of texture? Sometimes on my young dbts they get small white spots or streaks at the new growth point between their scutes. It look kind of funny but it seems that the melanin just hasn’t caught up with the growth rate of the shell and eventually the spots turn the same dark color as the surrounding area. No treatment except time is needed. But these spots are smooth and the same texture as the surrounding area. I have never had shell fungus so I don’t know what that looks like. Vickie
