Scott, How do I remove the fungus? I don’t know if I read it on this list or another one, but I thought that if it doesn’t come off when you gently pick at it, then it should only be removed when the turtle is under anesthesia. It will hurt them a lot and pull off their scutes I think. The vet doesn’t know much about turtles that I’m taking them to. This really makes me nervous. She was using some tool trying to scratch off the fungus. Tex started flailing his arms about and hissing like crazy so she stoped. After I finish getting his shots, I’ll never go back there. So I can’t pick off the fungus and when I called pet stores, nobody had Nolvasan for sale. I’m supposed to soak him in that, right? The vet has it in perscription form but I think she said he didn’t need it. I’m really confused. :- ~Candace~
