Todd, Thank you very much. That’s great to have all that useful info. Okay, now I can tell the feed store exactly what I want him to order for me – “Aquamax Grower 500”. Right now all three of my DBTs like frozen smelt and leave the Reptomin alone. I would like to see if I can get them to eat something that will give them more vitamins. I actually tried a small amount of Purina catfish chow. Bush Gardens in Tampa has machines to buy a handful of pellets to feed the pond turtles. I found out that it is Purina catfish chow. So I brought some home. One of my DBTs ate one pellet but wouldn’t eat any more. Like you say, it must be for warmer water turtles and omnivorous turtles. About the smell, for my fresh water turtles I sometimes give them Wardleys sinking shrimp pellets. It really smells up a room if I forget to put the top back on the container. So, I know what you mean. For indoor use I probably will need a barrel with a lid on it to keep the 50 lb bag in. Thanks again, Bob — In diamondbackterrapins@egroups.com, Todd Stockwell
