Wished I hadn’t experienced it. Note that mine are this year’s babies. One possibility is that some dbt’s from some areas are more aggressive than others. Tail-biting can occur in many turtles. I have hatched out redear sliders where nobody bothered each other, and then one whole clutch (kept separate from other clutches) chewed all of each other’s tails off. Very frustrating! I always want everybody to get along – my fourth graders, neighborhood dogs, friends, turtle people, etc. I’m always surprised (don’t know when I’ll ever learn) when they don’t. -Rick Chun-Ming Chew wrote:
