Belly Up? Ok, I got the picture now. Humid in the air, not moist substrate. Vermiculite is really different. (I think the secret is in the blue lid!) -Rick Dear Belly Up Mod, You missed the part where I said I use perlite for my dbt eggs. I bury the eggs half way in the 1 to 1 perlite and water by weight. I do not cover the eggs themselves with anything else but do put a lid with a few very tiny holes on the container. I do not add any water during incubation but I forgot to say that sometimes when they are close to hatching in my opinion (it’s past 54 days or more and the egg has recently dented) I lightly spray the eggs with water to stimulate them to hatch. I only do this because I have no patience. Although my pancake egg has taught me some by taking 5 months and a few days to hatch. I use the cheap ziplock storage containers that you can buy in the store with the blue lid so you can see there are moisture drops on the inside where the perlite is. So I don’t worry about it being too dry. Head Mod modelgrafx@… wrote:
