A tank cleaning ???

So I was just wondering if anyone here has any advise……. Im sure that anyone who has owned turtles and kept them in a glass aquarium for a few years has noticed that the glass on the upper end of the tank (where water is not touching the glass) after some time starts to develop this kinda “film” on the glass– not like a slimy film but it looks kinda white and makes it so that the glass is not crystal clear anymore– and no matter how much you scrub or what you use to try and clean it with…. it doesnt get this “stuff” off– Does anyone know what I mean??– and does anyone have any ideas of what you can use to clean this off with??? I have tried scraping it off and even that doesnt seem to work?-=— Thanks for any advise! — Heather
Great question! These turtle are filthy. Mine clogs the filter every other day. I don’t even have fish in there any more…just one stinky turtle. LOL. heather, that’s just calcium buidup… I have the same on my tank. I know that for fish tanks may people use lemon juice which shouldn’t harm fish after being thoroughly rinsed off.
