I have my terrapin alone in a tank for the past 3 years. I feel like it is lonely, and wants a friend. Is there anything I can do about this? Any suggestions? Email me!
I wouldn’t get a second turtle unless you have the room and $$$ to properly care for it. You’re giving the turtle credit for a human emotion it does not have. If you think it’s bored, however, give it some obstacles to climb over and around, like a big rock. Or throw in a big pleco for it to share the tank with. Keep in mind that it may eat it, but mine hasn’t. It doesn’t move around quickly enough to entice my DBT. I think you’re looking for some kind of external permission for a decision that is ultimately yours. Walt
Would agree with Walt, I don’t think they get lonely. I know they act like they are always hunger. Thanks Jonathan http://www.diamondbackterrapin.com — In diamondbackterrapins@yahoogroups.com, “Glaeser Walt-P55431”
