My little one (2 mos) is getting more and more skittish as he/she is getting older. ive always done out of tank feedings and its been great. he drinks,(he lives in brackish) eats, (alot) and then he tells me he is done by swimming in the corner fast like he wants out! well lately he hasnt been too hungry, but when i put him back in tank he begs.. i feed him alittle pellet here and there in tank, he loves it. well he used to bask all day mostly when he was smaller. now he basks maybe 10 mins in am and sometimes none in pm. ive changed bulbs, got a dimmer. dont know what is up. i thought it was too hot for him because twice i saw some little bubbles on his mouth while basking. so i bought a dimmer and turned the bulb down. it is 6 inch away from site and is a 60 w. household bulb. he also has UVB compact 5.0 same distance. hes been hiding in his weeds alot. He also dives quick when he sees me. hes never done that(maybe once when small) i try to leave him in a low traffic area of house. i dont know what to do
