My diamondback has stopped eating for a week now and he has no movement in his back legs. I took him to the vet 2 days ago and waiting for the blood work to come back. I have had him for 5 years now with know problems. Our local pet store said we only needed to feed him the ReptoMin food sticks. He might have a calcium problem. Didn’t know we should have been giving other food. Do you think it is too late for him. Poor thing. Hate to tell my kids if there is nothing we can do. Thanks
Vitamin deficiency??? Like any animal it needs a varied well rounded diet… as much as we would like to think that pelleted food is enough for our turtles it is too generalized for soo many different species of turtles with different diets. Are you taking your turtle to a vet that has training in reptiles?
HI, do you have gravel in the tank. no movement in the hind legs can be a sign of impaction, or a certain bacteria in the water. ive also read vitamin deficiency. do you do regular water changes?

Hi Thanks for responding the blood work came back and there is a problem with his kidneys. We are going to try ceftazidime and neo-calglucon and see if that helps.
