bad appetite

right now it seems that my db has an awful appetite. is it because of winter or something to do with hibernation? he used to eat like 6 worm and some shrimp now he eats about 2! while i’m on the eating subject all he eats is worms and shrimp nothing else! no pellets or anything! anybody have ideas on food options. thanks sarah
