best time to get a hatchling?

Hi! I am a new member here…and glad that I found this list. : ) I have had a variety of reptiles over the years…including several kinds of other turtles, and one DBT. He is no longer with me, and I have decided that I would like to replace him. Can you tell me when the best time for locating a captive bred hatchling will be? I noticed a few messages about new hatchlings…does this mean that in general, now is the start of hatching season? I am in Louisiana…so if anyone can tell me if there are any nearby (relatively) places/expos/breeders that they would recommend…I would greatly appreciate it! -Abby : )
dear Abby, welcome to the group!! 🙂 now with my knowledge the best time to find hatchling turtles is in the summer because its like a time when mostly every turtle farm or breeders get mostly every breed . I have had good experiences at http://www.serpentsden.com and http://www.newenglandreptile.com . These places aren’t close to you but they do ship very fast.
