I have a friend Krista, she has an aquatic turtle whose shell is soft and he has blood showing through his shell. Just a hatchling, I’m hoping she will join in the group soon. She has the proper set up, lighting etc. any advice from the group. Thanks Lisa

Sounds like septicemia. See a vet immediately —–Original Message—– From: Lisa A Lee [mailto:lisaannlee@…] Sent: Tuesday, January 18, 2005 6:37 AM To: diamondbackterrapins@yahoogroups.com Subject: [diamondbackterrapins] Blood showing through plastron I have a friend Krista, she has an aquatic turtle whose shell is soft and he has blood showing through his shell. blood showing throught the shell is usually a sign of septecemia. She shoudl consult a veterinarian. The turtle will need antibiotics.
