You may remember my post a few months back.I recieved 3 adult female northern diamondbacks from an asian food market in NYC,from a frie3nd who went to visit his brother for christmas.Since that time I have been successful in getting 2 of them to eat readily on cooked shrimp, crab, and occasional smelt. The day before yesterday I went down for a feeding and found 2 eggs, after this I took them in to be x-rayed,and found that 2 of the females are gravid. With that in mind I took the one that was not eating and put her in a large rubbermaid of wet vermiculite with a sweater box of water. This morning I woke and found 9 more eggs. They are fertile as well,I candled a few and saw what appeared to be a vascular vein.I now have them incubating at 84 degrees.I just wanted to update you on the progress of these girls and thank you for all your advise and recommendations a few months back. The girls are coming along nicely.I have acquired a male recently to put with them, and am awaiting the other girl to drop her eggs as well.I do have one question for breeders out there.Do dbt’s generally go off feed right before they lay as with most other reptiles? If so I am going to wait till the other quits feeding before I put her in the egg laying enclosure.Once again thanks to everyone. -Christian _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC – get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963
