Hello all, I wanted to ask for some advice. I’m a little concerned about a chesapeake hatchlings I just got. I got two female chesapeake hatchlings, one is very active, a good eater, and otherwise very adventerous and friendly. The other one has not eaten almost at all, never leaves the basking area unless forced to, and is having real problems swimming for any real length of time. I haven’t been able to recreate the food that the breeder has been using, but have been using ZooMed hatchling pellets, Reptomin baby, and Shrimp treat stuff I got, which the other hatchling seems to take to without any problems, as did several northern hatchlings I bought last year, but the other one never seems to show either enough interest to get into the water to eat, or just no appetite altogether. The water conditions are fine, temperature and other factors should be fine, and I’ve even been trying to give them some space to get used to their environment and to calm down after they arrived, but the fact that she still isn’t very active or eating well has me concerned. She is clearly not developing as much as is her fellow hatchling. Is there anything you might recommend? I’m really at a loss as to what more I can do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Apshai
Rich you might mail the guy a baggy of the food you fed him, I don’t think thats the problem though. But a good jesture on your part. Not alot just a sanwhich bag full. Lisa
