Hello All, I received 4 DBT’s from the Turtle Homes rescue a few weeks back, and I am noticing lesions on there skin. I have them set up in a 100 gallon tank with brackish water with a specific gravity of 1.014, and a temperature of 80 degrees. I have a basking spot set up and the 3 that are most effected seem to resists basking. The one that appears to be free of the lesions seems to be willing to bask for hours. I am considering adding a UV sanitizer to the Fluval 404 I’m running on this tank. Does anyone have advice for me on these gals? I have been feeding in their tank, and I was wondering if this could be part of the problem, but I keep crawdads in with them to clean up their scraps. Thank you, John Ford

John, why don’t you post some pics for us so we can see the lesions. Lisa

I’ve been having the same problem. I am also interested in knowing what I can do about it. Sorry, but I don’t have any pictures I can post at this time. For my two, it’s larger white patches on the paws, and smaller white spotting across most of the skin. They also do not care much for basking. — In diamondbackterrapins@yahoogroups.com, “Lisa Lee”
