I recently purchased some concentrics from Shawn at Turtletown and I had them start eating some bloodworms as Jonathan suggested. However, I am having difficulty getting the two little guys started on eating reptomin. For the last couple of days I have not fed them any bloodworms and only offered them reptomin, but they still haven’t gone for it. Any suggestions on what I should do? or should I just continue offering them reptomin and nothing else? Thanks — Alex __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! My advice would be to toss out the Reptomin and try Hikari cichlid pellets instead. They are much more palatable and yet will not leave a film of grease like Aquamax does. Be patient, sometimes it takes a couple of weeks. All the best. -Chun

I’m no expert and just recently purchased a pair of DBT’s a month ago, but I would continue with what works for now. Wean them from the worms to reptomin, by mixing the two primarily worms at first and then working the % towards reptomin over time. This way they will always have some nutrition going in and eventually they will be totally on reptomin. Personally I’ve been mixing and matching foods even though they are taking reptomin like it is going out of style. This way they will have a well balance diet.

Paul and Chun, Thanks for the advice. I usually put in reptomin with the worms and they seem to smell it but never take a bite out of it. So I guess I’ll go try the Hikari food and see how that works out. I’ll update you guys on the progress though. Thanks — Alex — Paul Jarosh
