I’m so excited. One of my female DBT’s laid 11 eggs last night. I’ve got them in vermiculite & moss in an incubator. I’m keeping them at 82-82. Anyone have any suggestions or “don’t do’s?” I can feel eggs in three other females. Keep your fingers crossed. JoyceTortmom’s Turtle & Tortoise RescueP.O. It sounds like you have a good incubating climate (vermiculite and 82F). That is the temperature I incubate my eggs at and the hatchings have all had perfect scute patterns. What subspecies of DBT are the eggs from? What type of incubator are you using? I think you have everything under control but I would just be sure that humidity in the incubator is relatively high and to be sure the vermiculite doesn’t dry out. Also don’t turn the eggs and everything should be fine. You will likely have hatchlings in about 60 days. ,JasonTortmom
