Hey there … I found that my four terrapins saved from the crab pots in VA would not eat anything at first but then enjoyed roaches (live), raw white shrimp diced to keep the mess down, chicken in small amounts, fresh mustard greens in small amounts, duckweed and other types of fish. I am going again to VA this month and will be bringing them back some mussels. I know that freshwater crabs (such as crayfish) are a BIG no-no due to the bacterias. But what about freshwater fish? My family and I fish a lot and I was wondering if the blue gills and sunfish that plague our waters would hurt them? I was going to bring a stringer home to freeze for these girls for winter and then thought better of it until I asked. Anyone know if freshwater fish, fresh caught will hurt them? Thanks a bunch! Ang
