Hi everyone, I just want to know if anyone uses charcoal, a biological filter, or any kind of filter media for their turtles. I have this Sea Storm biological filter that has lots of beads in it and the description says it allows the good bacteria to grow and therefore controls ammonia in the water. I have also been told that charcoal does the same. I have used them for my tropical fishes before, but not sure if I need to use it for turtles? Right now, I have two filters in my 125 gallon tank with only cotton sheets used as a filtering media, but nothing else. Any suggestions on whether the charcoal or biological filter would make a difference in the water quality, and if it really affects the diamondbacks or not? Thanks, -James
