if the barb is imbedded as it usually is then it is usually easier to remove the hook by pushing it through and cutting off the barb. If the hook is near the jaw then they can usually be twisted out without too much damage. If you try to push it through just make sure you aren’t going through any vital parts. If the terp swallowed the hook and you can still see it but is too far into their neck then try to cut away as much as possible and leave it as there is no other feasible option that wouldn’t cause more problems. good luck… -Scott diamondbackterrapins@yahoogroups.com wrote:
