Floating Dock?

My terp seems to want to get behind the suction cup U Bracket that holds the floating dock to the side of the tank. It seems the persistence of this goal to him is extremely important. Anyone else have this issue or know how to change it other than buying a free floating dock? Other than that he is a great turtle, lives with 4 fish 2 bala sharks and 2 albino gouramis. They all eat together and get along well.
