I noticed my Northern has a light brown growth on his hind legs and back potion of his skin. His shell looks fine. This is a DBT that was not basking for some time. I lowered water temp a bit and he now is basking. I’ve been taking him out of his tank for an hour or so a day, and letting him get completely dry. The growth looks like it dries up, but I’m afraid to try and scrape it off. Should I leave him out of the water for longer than this? Should I scrape it off? Are there any medicines out there for something like this? Thanks for your help, Eric
he may just be sheddding, I would scrape it off in any event.
