no they are in fresh water and have been there whole life…….I’m not sure what the water conditions are as I am still ut of town but water changes have been kept regular and i’ve been throwing tons of money into fltration…………..let me know how I can treat this, I’d appreciate any help I can get…………….thanks again IsaacStephen Chew
Hi Isaac, Best solution is raising the salinity to the higher end of brackish water. The rot areas will need to be cleaned out. If you don’t want to convert the water to brackish, then you could give it salt baths instead in a separate container and follow up with a topical application of Nolvasan (best) or Betadine. Keep it dry for 2 to 3 hours a day before reintroducing it to the tank. New growth will show up silver before assuming its natural color.
