Home › Forums › Diamondback Terrapins › Green Brackish Pond Water – Question
This year I made one of my ponds exclusively a terrapin pond with brackish water. As a result of the salty water, I am not able to grow plants and the water rapidly turns pea green in the Texas sun. Does anyone here have any brackish water outdoor ponds? If so how do you keep it clear? Likewise, I have been reading tons of posts on the aquatic plant forum of http://www.gardenweb.com and it seems everyone is ranting and raving about cheap polyester quilt batting (available at wal-mart). They swear that it actually filters out the algae. I am going to give it a try but wanted to know if anyone has used this stuff and if so how well did it work for you? thanks, Jason __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
