Hi My name is Aaron. this is my first posting to this group but from what I read I am glad that I joined up. A quick background of the situation. My Girlfriends buddy had bought this breeding pair of terrapins from someone but soon realized that he would not be able to take care of them. He asked me if I Would like them and i said sure. I have three other turtles, a red eared slider, a painted and a yellow bellied cooter. I have had them for just over two years and i had gotten them when they were hatchlings, so i felt that i had enough experence to be able to take care of the terrapins. Well they weren’t in the greatest shape but they were not that bad either. Well I have had them for just over a month and they are developing soft shell. The males shell is went bad pratically over night and is getting worst. the female only has a little about the size of an pencil eraser while as the male is about 30% covered. The only reptile vet around here is only available in two weeks at the earliest. There is no emergency vet around that i know of for tutles. I have them in a 75 gallion with a fuval 204 and two seprate uv lights. I don’t know how to help them and could use some advice please. Thank you Aaron. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New DSL Internet Access from SBC & Yahoo! http://sbc.yahoo.com
