I am new to the list, and posted some photos of my terps in the photos area – I currently keep 4 Texans, 3 females (Marfa, Desdemona & Lydia) and a male (Galveston), 2 northerns (Chessy and Martha) and 3 foodmarket Carolias (Empress, Ming, and Gem). I was wondering how large/old the texans have to be to breed ? My one female is about 6″.

Wow, I wish I could get food market carolina’s that look as nice as those! Thanks for sharing the pix. There is a really good book on Diamondbacks that I recommend….you can get it it here: http://www.neoterrapin.com/ Another good site that states captive raised females will normally be mature at 4-6 years and 6.75″ is located here: http://www.diamondbackterrapin.com/index2.html-John
