Hi everyone, Sorry I have not been around for along time. I got hit with the pneumonia and have been fighting with it for a while. I’m doing better now and just wanted to let ya know I also have a few DBT eggs incubating form a few different females. I know that at least one group of 4 eggs is from my female Marco, the other 5 are from my eastern or possibly a cross between my Marco male and female eastern. He was the only male in the enclosure for a long time. The eggs should be hatching soon. Because I can’t sell them I would be interested in trading a few of my babies for new bloodlines when they hatch. I also was in Marco Island a few weeks back doing some fishing and came across a few adult female DBT, the guide I was with would not let me try catch them but they appeared to be very healthy and I think that they were what is know as the upper keys mangrove DBT. All were seen basking on Mangrove roots and jumped into the water before we could get very close. Anyway, glad to be back around and love all the info everyone has. Take care Dave

Thanks for the field report – I always love to hear about terps in the wild. Could you give some descriptions of the Upper Mangrove Diamondback? That’s supposed to be a very rare subspecies. Keep us posted on the eggs! -Chun
