how can you get a turtle to bite?

my little patient has moved from needing shots to taking his meds by mouth… great progress! but it presents a problem… to get the medicine in I have to get him to open his mouth, and he won’t do it… I’ve had the same problem in past years with two of my big females… the vet can tap them on the nose and they’ll hiss and snap right away… I tap them on the nose and they just look at me… I’ve had to resort to injecting wax worms since he’ll usually scarf them in one piece, but it’s not a real accurate method… does anyone have any ideas for ticking off a turtle?
