HI everyone, I just thought ide share my excitment with all! I did indeed decide to purchase a 2nd Diamond Back! I believe from looking at some pics on a website i found that he/she?? Is a Pileata– Does that sound right? Mine new guy has a almost solid black shell and legs and feet are very dark. The head is more light with lage striped markings! Absolutly Beautiful!!! Only being about a year old Im not sure what the sex is yet. Does anyone know how you can tell with a young turtle? Ide say the shell is about 1 1/2 inches long, Still pretty small! — I wish i had a camera but… Mabey one of these days. My other male tutle ( Skunky ) is getting along fine so far. I got the new guy about 2 days ago. oh yea and does anyone know what it means when one turtle gets ontop of another ( In the water) and hoovers over the other one looking down at him? It dosnt seem aggresive just odd! Just curious what it means?? if anything. —— Thomas, Im sorry to hear about your hatchlings. I wish i had some advice- but… well hopefully all will go well in the end. It seems you are doing all you can for them. Dont get too discouraged if they are not improving, just keep making an effort.
