Anyone have a used canister filter for 55 gal or larger that they are willing to sell or know of any websites that sell used/discount canister filters?
Hello,I have a 4 inch male northern who appears to not be doing well. He is not eating and when swimming, won’t use his front legs? When picked up, he will apply force when his front legs are touched, but he won’t use them to swim or to get up on his resting spot. He has what looks like scrapes on his “knees” that appear to be from dragging his front legs up on the sunning platform. He was sharing a 100 gallon tub with another 4 inch male and a 6 inch female. I have never seen any biting and no aggressive behavior from any of them. Today I removed the sick male and took him to a seperate tank outside near my pond. He appears to be a little more active, but I still have not seen him eating. When open, his eyes appear fine. When closed, he seems to have difficulty opening his eyes. Just a few minutes ago, he slid off into the shallow water of his tank and was using his front legs to scratch at his closed eyes. He now looks fine, his eyes are open, but he is still pushing himself around the shallow tank with only his rear legs – his front legs are dangling backwards.any ideas of what it is and more importantly, what will help get him better.
