I’m located in Evanston, IL. Home Depot carries this entire line at extremely reasonable prices. I use the Tobago ($43) and the Bermuda ($75). Inside, you’ll need some support, such as a table or bench to support the marginal plant shelves as well as the base. You can paint them, drill them for drains for emptying and/or to use wet/dry filters. With a little carpentry and creative flair, one can prodice a very nice (and functional) setup. Depth of 18 inches seems (minimally) adequate for breeding. IMHO, the optimum filter is the 5-gallon bucket, with partial water changes every (other) day. I use several cups of crushed coral substrate, which I siphon when I change the water. I clean it in the bucket in the bathtub, then return it to the pond with the fresh water, detoxed with Ammo-Lock. I use flow-through bio/mechanical filters I made myself from plastic buckets and Fresh Step cat litter containers. These can be placed above or below the pond (in a sump), depending on whether you wish to submerse your pump in the pond itself, or in the sump.
